Thinking of Visiting? |
| |
Thinking of attending a worship service at Tattnall Square Baptist
Church, but not sure what to expect? We realize that visiting a
new church can be a little intimidating, so we'd like to answer
some common questions.
|
|

|
Will I have to stand up in front of people? |
| |
Some churches call on their visitors to stand up during the
service and introduce themselves. While the people at TSBC are
genuinely interested in getting to know you and make you feel
welcome, we will never call on you or embarrass you in any way.
You can relax and enjoy meeting people at your own pace.

|
Do
I have to dress up? |
| |
No, you don't. We encourage people to dress comfortably. For some,
that may mean a suit, others jeans, but for most it simply means wearing
casual clothes. The New Testament simply instructs us to dress
modestly and decently, so we do not burden people unnecessarily by
requiring them to dress up in fancy clothes they do not normally
wear just to "go to church." We want everyone to come, be
comfortable, and enjoy learning about God together.
|
|
What time do your services start? |
| |
Sunday School is at 9:30 AM , Morning Worship is at 10:45
AM, and Wednesday's
Family Training Hour is at 6:15 PM. We also meet at various times
throughout the week for Bible studies, prayer and other fellowship
opportunities. Check out the coming events schedule for dates and
times of other activities.

|
Where will my children go during the service? |
| |
Your children and students will love TSBC! We provide fun,
hands-on Bible lessons and activities every Sunday morning
designed especially to help them learn the truths of the Bible.
We provide a safe,
cozy nursery for infants through four years on the 2nd floor on
our Sunday School hall.
The Student
Ministries of TSBC meet on the 3rd floor of the education
building.
Our children's
ministry is lead by parents just like you who value every child
and treat them with the utmost care and attention.
Our youth
ministry, for students 6th-12th, provides
Bible teaching and activities that are designed to develop
students’ knowledge and relationship during these formative years.

Do
I have to be a Member to participate? |
| |
At
Tattnall Square Baptist Church you do not have to be a member to
participate in any Ministry Functions, we actually want as many
non-members to participate as possible. We offer many events and
festivals to the community and encourage participation by all
members and non-members.

|
What kind of music do you have? |
| |
This is a common question. A huge debate has arisen in churches
over whether traditional music or contemporary music is "right."
We believe that God has inspired people throughout the ages to
write hymns and songs of praise and that He continues to inspire
musicians from all generations to write music that praises Him and
brings glory to His name. We believe that debates regarding styles
of music are more a matter of personal preference than anything
else.
We offer a
blend of traditional and contemporary worship that focuses on God
the creator, God's salvation message, and God's glory. You will hear a
mix of new and old music - plenty of songs you know and
love; popular contemporary Christian music, old gospel favorites,
and some traditional music.
The focus of
all of our worship services is to bring glory to God and to
support and encourage every worshipper in their journey of faith.
